exhibit a: today i am grateful, Lord, for the hedge of protection you have built around us. thank you for bringing mountain man home safely from each of his crazy adventure races. thank you for watching so closely over each of us and keeping us in one piece and bringing us all safely together again each evening (so that moments like this can take place--lil miss had to read a magazine of her own when she saw daddy pouring over his!)!

exhibit a: today i am thankful for my dear friend alyssa and her baby girls who happen to be very close in age to lil miss and sweet pea! today miss j turns two and i am very thankful that the lord has blessed us with lots of pink and we have remained close despite the distance!

exhibit a: today i am thankful for the break i had from my computer. it was surprisingly restful! but i am also thankful for our friends the flinks who so kindly offered us the use of a monitor and cables so that i can project my laptop screen!
exhibit b: watching the master's with poppy (somehow her shouts of "go daddy's team" which she cried out while the seahawks played last fall don't quite go with golf, but that's okay.)
exhibit c: contrary to what this photo depicts, sweet pea is almost a self-supported sitter! i think that in just another week or so, she'll be totally sitting on her own!

disaster

i haven't neglected the blog...i have tons of photos to upload and thankfulness to share...it's just that i dropped my laptop and the screen appears to have bit the dust for good. tomorrow we will see if the hard drive is busted and whether all my photos and videos are gone...i am praying the folks at apple care can find a way to salvage our years of memories at least.

in the meantime, today i am of course thankful for the miraculous resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Hallelujah!

my thankful tidbit from yesterday: today i am thankful that my laptop has given up the ghost. although i mourn the loss of our photos and videos, especially those from the last two years that chronicle our babies' lives, i am glad that i am forced to take a computer break. i needed it. spending too much time on the internet and not enough investing in my relationship with the Lord and focusing on family, this indefinite hiatus has been refreshing.

my thankful tidbit from friday april 2, 2010: today i am thankful for old friends who have stayed near and dear! i am thankful that our children can grow up together and share memories, too!
