exhibit a: today i am thankful for two extra hours of sleep this morning! mountain man took charge of lil miss and fed her breakfast and kept her attention until sweet pea and i woke up two hours later! i don't have a picture to represent those additional zzzz's...but sweet pea communicated my excitement about it best...

exhibit a: today i am thankful for mylicon gas drops, which have helped sweet pea digest the nutty raw dessert my sister-in-law made me for the birthday! they were so good that i couldn't restrain myself and have eaten too many for sweet pea's little tummy. but the mylicon seems to be helping in that department and she is back to her smiley self!

exhibit a: today i am thankful that God has already answered my prayers that the girls be surrounded by friends who profess His name and have families that do the same. i am thankful for the mommies of lil miss' friends and very much grateful that her little buddy's mommy and i have remained friends since high school. she gave me wise counsel and perspective today that i really needed.

exhibit a: today i am thankful that sweet pea's 24-hour nursing and bottle-feeding strike came to a close. i was stressed out of my mind trying to get her to eat. at one point mountain man and i gave her expressed milk via medicine dropper. thankfully she woke up on my birthday and drank like a champ beginng at her 10 am feeding. words cannot express how relieved i was when she decided to latch and eat!

exhibit a: today i am thankful for my 28th year. i am in awe of the Lord's blessings. especially this year. we watched lil miss turn one and a few days later found out that sweet pea was on her way. we celebrated our 5th anniversary. we welcomed mountain man's sister and brother-in-law to town to live nearby. we found out that cutie cakes was on her way and celebrated cutie face's first birthday. with tears we said goodbye to grandpa, but saw the blessing in our loss in that he went to be with our Savior. we welcomed sweet pea into the world and just this week we met cutie cakes! what a year. i have to say that i don't want to turn 29 tomorrow. this year has been too good!
exhibit b: today was a boring rainy day without too many adventures. except the trek from the target checkout to the car when i had 18 rolls of paper towels, 24 rolls of toilet tissue, 762 wipes, 36 diapers, a head of cauliflower, and 5 t-shirts perched atop the double stroller canopy. and the new recipe for italian bread i tried out today.

exhibit a: today i am thankful for Hope. the Hope that Christ alone provides. that my sins will be forgiven, totally forgotten. that our Lord, the Maker of everything will welcome me as He did his son and see me as blameless because of the perfect life, death and resurrection of Christ. that God accepts me. that He will accept me into everlasting life in heaven. that He can change me. that He walks beside me.
