exhibit a: today i am thankful that our daughters have two sets of caring, doting, Christian grandparents! sweet pea will meet mountain man's parents for the first time this week! Here is a picture of grandma and grandpa c when they first came to meet lil miss!

exhibit a: today i am once again thankful for the wonderful friends that God has granted me. my friend julia stopped over today and what was to be a drop-in turned into a long-overdue- hour-long chat. 
exhibit b:
when i invited lil miss to help me indent the peanut butter cookies for daddy with a fork, i should have known i was inviting disaster to walk right into our kitchen and join us at the counter...
exhibit c:
sweet pea looks incredibly awkward in the above photo because lil miss was really unsure about holding her and i think she sensed it! so here is another photo from this morning when sweet pea was much more at ease!

exhibit a: today i am so thankful that so many of our family members live within an hour's drive of our home! what a blessing for the girls to have all their cousins in town! they have such fun together!

when news and photos of a shockingly different world rock ours, it is hard not to be thankful for every little thing...today, having done four loads of laundry without having to lift much more than a finger (or a laundry basket) i am struck by how much i take for granted the appliances we use every day.

exhibit a: today i am thankful for my discipleship group and for our church that is so big on one-on-one mentoring. there is nothing like a group of Christ-seeking girls to encourage me onward towards my Savior. i have missed meeting with them over the last month and was so glad to be back with them today. within minutes of reconvening, my heart was already longing to spend more time with my Lord. 
all these kids represent the girls in my group!

it seemed so much warmer today that i didn't dress sweet pea in her bear suit...turns out "warmer" was actually only 37 degrees according to my car thermometer! guess she could have sported the bear suit over this springy jacket i scored at a garage sale for $1!

mr. and mrs. potato head came to live with us today--thank you, ashley! they were a huge hit!

exhibit a: i am thankful for my new diaper sprayer that allows me to cloth diaper without ever touching the dirty stuff anymore!
exhibit b:
finally somewhat warm enough to take my two bear cubs out for a stroll.
exhibit c:
some sweet sisterly moments today...lil miss sat by sweet pea during story time before bed and sweet pea kept moving her arm against lil miss' back and grabbing her hair...when i first saw her do it i wasn't sure what lil miss' reaction would be--she loved her sister's touch and kept nudging closer so sweet pea would do it again.
